European Business Network which is active within Istanbul Chamber of Industry is organizing a workshop to inform enterprises and associations in the sector based in Istanbul about Leonardo da Vinci Programme of the European Union which supports vocational training projects. The workshop will be organized on the 17th of November 2009 in ISO Odakule Asembly Meeting Hall.TAGES will participate to the event to share experiences about Leonardo da Vinci projects as a success story.
In the workshop which is about Leonardo da Vinci Programme, Turkey Coordinator, National Agency Officials and corporations which has been realized successful projects will take place to share information about their projects and experiences. TAGES Projects Consultant, Gurbet Deniz YAVUZ, will give a presentation on the Examples of the Successful Projects section. She will talk about the successful Leonardo da Vinci projects of TAGES; the ongoing Business Incubator Management Training Institute (SUMMIT II) Project and Development the Competences of Key Persons for better Integration and Employability of Disadvantaged Groups on the European Labour Market (DC-Key-Train) project. She will mention the main and important aspects of the projects such as the objectives and outputs of the project, how we contribute to the projects and what we learn and achieve from the projects.
In this context Gurbet Deniz Yavuz will concentrate on these following topics and information:
SUMMIT II is a LDV (Leonardo da Vinci) project which is based on SUMMIT project which is ended in October 2006. The objective of SUMMIT was to develop a set of training modules for incubator managers and staff, as well as for entrepreneurs and policy makers concentrating or developing their incubator management skills. SUMMIT II project is a ‘Transfer of Innovation’ Project.
The primary objective of SUMMIT II is to further develop and disseminate the Training and Information Resource for the personnel of business incubators in order to enhance their business performance. SUMMIT II has 7 partners and continues between February 2008 and February 2010.
SUMMIT II aims to;
- promote and reinforce the contribution of vocational blended training to the process of innovation
- improve the skills and competences of people working in Business Incubators and other support organizations
- with the successful implementation of the programme, manager of staff of existing business of incubators as well as those at initial stage of startup, will succeed in the management of their incubators to create small enterprises an to utilize their growth potential which has a significant impact on objective three that is to improve competitiveness and entrepreneurship.
And she will state the role of TAGES as seting-up of the e-learning management platform, production of the e-learning software modules and hosting, operation and maintenance of the e-learning website.
Also she will talk about the Development the Competences of Key Persons for better Integration and Employability of Disadvantaged Groups on the European Labour Market (DC-Key-Train) project as a successful example of LdV projects which TAGES has participated as a partner. The project which started on August 2009 is a Partnership project and addresses the employment-support needs of unemployed people with disabilities and other exclusion factors (youth, long-term unemployment, immigrants, ethnic minorities), and the SMEs who might offer jobs, and the institutions that provide employment support (rehabilitation centres, employment offices etc.). The project aims to facilitate the development of innovative training that will be available to SMEs and employment-support institutions in the partner countries. On the other hand Yavuz will mention the benefits of these two LDV projects for Turkey.
This workshop and the presentation of Yavuz will be very useful for participants in terms of sharing the project experiences and encouring them to participate and develop new successful projects.
