Our CEO Leyla Arsan attended the 23rd Information Security Solutions Europe (ISSE) Conference on 17 November 2021. The three-day conference consisting of 6 webinars gathered virtually 20 speakers focusing on the new trends in information security and building a new and secure future. Leyla Arsan launched the new EU cluster ‘Governance for the Future’ and made a Call for participation to the GLASS Ecosystem as a stakeholder on behalf of GLASS H2020 Project.
ISSE Conference attracted 600 industry leaders from 40 countries. On its second day Leyla Arsan, EEMA Chairman Jon Shamah, and Edinburgh Napier University School of Computing professor Bill Buchanan got together via Webinar 3 to discuss digital wallets and self-sovereign identity. This session aimed to show how GLASS H2020 Project puts the individual at the heart of controlling their own data.
The Webinar started with Jon Shamah’s opening speech giving an overview about the project. Afterward, Bill Buchanan continued explaining the future of e-governance, and the process of moving towards a decentralized web. Last but not least Leyla Arsan presented the ecosystem of GLASS and the need for the stakeholders and their potential benefits in which GLASS Governance Model and its Sustainability and Business Plan can be built. The webinar ended with an interactive discussion and a Q&A session.
GLASS contributes to the policies of the e-Government Action Plan 2016-2020. The research project focuses on the implementation of the real world. Its ecosystem includes private sector professionals, policymakers, IT experts, citizens and stakeholder groups including business entities, researchers, data consumers and many more. To create a better value proposition GLASS gives importance to its stakeholders’ needs and benefits. By analyzing and understanding their needs a better business model and sustainability plan would be generated.
In addition, Leyla Arsan launched the new EU cluster “Governance for the Future”. The cluster is aiming to create a synergy between similar research and innovation projects having common objectives on digitalization of governance. By underlining the cruciality of stakeholder involvement to achieve the project’s aims she made a call for stakeholders to join the ecosystem and collaborate more. Each stakeholder in the GLASS Ecosystem will be a natural member of the EU cluster “Governance for the Future”.
Detailed information and participation forms will be sent to registered participants of the conference in the coming days.
