The first call of FP7 in the field of Information and Communication Technologies ended last week on Tuesday. According to the information coming from the European Commission 1838 project proposals have been submitted for ICT Call 1. As for the project types: 326 IP, 24 NOE, 1335 STREP, 48 CA and 105 SA.
The contribution of the project proposals according to the challenges of the Call are as follows:
Within the EASIER project as TAGES we worked very closely with Turkish ICT SMEs in the process of project submission. Most of the Turkish ICT SMEs have experienced the European way of project submission and cooperate with European SMEs working in the same field. Turkish SMEs put FP7 projects’ participation among their priorities and made evident efforts to take part in the projects.
In the framework of EASIER project, TAGES gave one-to-one consulting services to nearly 50 Turkish SMEs in the process of project submission.
TAGES will continue to support Turkish ICT SMEs in the second call of ICT which is expected to be opened at the beginning of June. The total budget of ICT Call 2 is 477 M€. The actual closure date of the call is 9 October 2007.
