The European Commission has opened the second call for an expression of interest for innovative and rapid health-related approaches to respond to COVID-19 and to deliver quick results for society for a higher level of preparedness of health systems! (Call ID: 2020-SC1-PHE-CORONAVIRUS-2020-2)
The deadline for the project submissions is 11 June 2020.
The scope of call has five focus topics;
- Repurposing of manufacturing for vital medical supplies and equipment.
- Total Budget: EUR 23 million
- Budget per project: EUR 5 and 6 million
- Medical technologies, Digital tools and Artificial Intelligence analytics to improve surveillance and care at high Technology Readiness Levels.
- Total Budget: EUR 56 million
- Budget per project: EUR 2 and 5 million (with financial support to 3rd parties, up to 10 million)
- Behavioural, social and economic impacts of the outbreak response.
- Total Budget: EUR 20 million
- Budget per project: EUR 4 and 10 million
- Pan-European COVID-19 cohorts.
- Total Budget: EUR 20 million
- Budget per project: EUR 15 and 20 million
- Networking of existing EU and international cohorts of relevance to COVID-19.
- Total Budget: EUR 3 million
- Budget per project: EUR 2 and 3 million
The focus of call is not to develop new diagnostics, therapeutics or vaccine compounds or solutions, but rather to complete and deploy readily available solutions.
