The conference will also involve the project of SINCERE with new participants and new collaboration opportunities. 2nd ICT Brokerage Event of FP6 EASIER Project, ICT Conference on Research and Development, will be held in Aalborg, Denmark, on November 22nd and 23rd 2007. The conference will also involve the project of SINCERE with new participants and new collaboration opportunities. A delegation from the EU project SINCERE will also attend to the brokerage event. SINCERE project concerns with e-health and it aims to strengthen competitiveness of SMEs in the e-health sector by providing them with knowledge, networking and sharing knowledge with other players and innovation strategies. The project aims to prepare the SMEs to participate in research and development projects. With the involvement of SINCERE project participants to the brokerage event, the focus of the event will not change but the scope of the event will broaden and the networking opportunities will increase.
The conference will host more than 250 representatives from ICT companies and SMEs from more than 12 countries. The 2 day conference will give to participants the chance to introduce and discuss new project ideas in networking sessions, matchmaking and elevator pitch events. In the conference, the representatives of the European Commission will inform participants about EU Framework projects and the companies who have already presented a project will share their experiences on project writing and partnership building.
2nd ICT Brokerage Event is part of the FP6 EASIER project www.eti-easier.org, funded by the European Union, which seeks to increase the ICT research activity and strengthen the competitiveness of ICT SMEs. The thrust of the project is to deliver new RTD collaborations for FP7 and other European-wide opportunities with special emphasis on SMEs. Working in sixteen European regions, EASIER will catalyse EU RTD projects by drawing on the strengths of existing regional networks and building a new trans-national partnership to boost ICT SME participation in European research programmes.
If you present a project idea in the conference, your accomadation expenditures -up to 30 companies and the priority is given to the SMEs- will be financed by the EASIER project. Transportation, visa applications and accomodation will be organized by the Turkish EASIER project team. TAGES, as a partner in the EASIER project with TÜBİTAK and TBV from Turkey, will support you in meeting new partners and building new cooperation.

Who is eligible for participation in the Workshops?
Participants from ICT SMEs, academic and/or research institutions, larger European ICT companies and people from the private or public sector are all welcome to partake in the sessions; the only requirements are:
– You have a project idea you want to discuss or develop.
– You are looking for partners to collaborate with.
– You would like to be a partner and participate in a project.
Participants, who wish to introduce project ideas in the conference, must fill in the online form ‘Submit your Project Idea’. You can reach the form from the following address.

The deadline for the registration to the event is Sunday, October 14th 2007 and for project idea registration is Friday, October 19th 2007.
Definition of a Project Idea
A project idea should be an ICT research project idea that stresses R&D aspects relevant to the priorities given in FP7. As the selection criteria above state, the idea should involve a transnational collaborative effort. Moreover, the idea must emphasise disciplines and/or SMEs and institutions; particularly academic and research institutions. Finally, the project idea must have significant economic and societal impact within the EU.
