Turkey’s European Union (EU) relations progress and deepen despite various obstacles. EU norms are entering society’s and individual’s life more and more everyday and financial resources to the use of institutions are opening increasingly. For example, in the period 2007-2013, a grant amounting to approximately 5.5 billion Euros is provided to corporate structuring, regional and rural development, transport, environment, competition, financing issues and coordination of various ministries. Also numerous programs are available for Turkey as a “candidate country to negotiate” in Brussels. Also within the scope of the work preparation for membership, a wide network of loans which can be obtained from various financial institutions including the World Bank is available. To take advantage of these resources for the preliminary work, writing and managing projects for the knowledge and experience are required. In this context, the EU issues, in contrast to common belief, require more and more expertise and specialization.
So Bahçeşehir University renewed the content of the European Union Master’s program which is within the Social Sciences Institute.
