Future Intertnet Assembly (FIA) 2014 was held in Athens on March 18-20, 2014 with great interest of participants from science and research community all over the Europe. This year FIA focused on reshaping the Future Internet infrastructure for innovation.
Future Intertnet Assembly (FIA) 2014 was held in Athens on March 18-20, 2014 with great interest of participants from science and research community all over the Europe. This year FIA focused on reshaping the Future Internet infrastructure for innovation.
FIA Athens was a three-day EU Greek Presidency event, supported jointly with the European Commission. The event started with pre-FIA sessions on March 17 and high-profile plenary session on March 18 and then 9 working sessions & Exhibitions Days realized on March 19-20. One of the most attractive workshop of the assembly was the workshop related to CitySDK Project (www.citysdk.eu).
CitySDK is creating a toolkit for the development of digital services within cities. The toolkit comprises of open and interoperable digital service interfaces as well as processes, guidelines and usability standards. CitySDK enables a more efficient utilisation of the expertise and know-how of developer communities to be applied in city service development.
During the workshop, the results & benefits of the CitySDK Project and the progress of the partner cities of the Project were presented. Leyla Arsan, CEO of TAGES, also presented the activities realized in Istanbul within CitySDK Project. As being one of the most valuable results of Istanbul City in the project, the results of Hackathonist 2013, which was organized TAGES on Nov 1-3, 2013, were also presented to the attendees of the FIA Athens.
